The beginning

Hello Friends and Family,
This week Elaina and I took the bottles and cans James has collected to a recycling center. Elaina then became interested in the whole process of saving the environment while making new things (while earning money in the process.)
Yesterday Elaina asked if we could do it again. I had to inform her that we didn’t have any recycling to take. She then inquired why we didn’t ask if our friends have any. I couldn’t think of any reason why not.
Hmm, why not indulge her interest in environmental science while also teaching her about business, and saving vs. cost etc.? So we started working out some details. Our starting idea is to see how many people are interested in letting us pick up their soda cans, glass, and plastic bottles so we can plot a route map. You would leave your recycling in a bag on your porch every other Friday for collection (we would like to eventually make some bags for you to use.) From there we would sort everything and take it to the recycling center, then e-mail a monthly progress report!
