(Left to right: Grandpa Williams, Grandpa Miles, Elaina, Grandma Miles, Grandma Williams)
This year we had a very special Thanksgiving, it was the first time Elaina had both sets of Grandparents together for the big day. Since pick-up #8 fell on the day after Thanksgiving, Elaina enjoyed showing Grandma and Grandpa Miles the process while they were staying with us.
Pick-up #9 had a surprise in store for me. After a very trying week at school for Elaina, she actually fell asleep during the pick-up route! I don't remember the last time she has ever taken a nap!
On pick-up #10 (two days before Christmas) we were able to leave a surprise for our "Elaina Saves the World" project friends, our own homemade Nutella that we made from scratch the day before.
Combined total from pick-ups #8-10
Plastic bottles=134
Soda cans=162
Glass bottles=19
Juice pouches=39
Now that Christmas is past, Elaina now has my permission to access her personal cut of the profits. The first thing thing she chose to purchase was a Mickey Mouse cookie when we went to Downtown Disney.
Her second purchase was a penguin from Sea World. I realised I don't have a good picture of Elaina with her new penguin named Sparkles, but this one is cute. (If you have access to my Facebook account, there is a partial picture of Sparkles on the 1-4-12 picture in the Images of 2012 folder.)
